Workshops for adults with or without disabilities.
These workshops are provided from the Lumen Mundi Foundation Base Workshop, located in the converted sea container next to the school. They are intended for (young) adults with or without a disability. Each training is aimed at sustainability and empowerment. The target audience is very varied. From people looking for help building their house or wanting to learn how to work with an electric drill to artists who want to learn a certain technique. Examples of training courses are: carpentry, welding, handling various hand tools, sewing, weaving, working with waste, leather processing, climate, 'green' farming, and whatever is in demand!
The training courses are given by employees of Lumen Mundi, but people from outside will also be invited. The participants are expected to make a (modest) contribution to finance the Lumen Mundi school.
The Lumen Mundi Foundation Base workshop has various tools that can be used during the training sessions. All donated from the Netherlands, for which many thanks! Both the tools and the staff can be hired for a job. This means that the tools remain under our own management.
Pieces of work that are made in the Lumen Mundi Foundation Base workshop and that are sold by the students of the Lumen Mundi School, which also means a (small) financial contribution for the school. One wish is to open a gallery where works of the children and the workshops can be exhibited.
